After reboot, I started up ControllerMate, checked to make sure my screen had all the same things as your screenshots had then started up Minecraft. Restarted my computer bc installer suggested I do that. I downloaded and installed ControllerMate with no issue and was able to register it just fine as well. This works well with my controller and I've checked multiple times to make sure it is reading my xbox one wired controller. Except prior to this I had to install the driver for the xbox controller. I'm not sure if you even check this anymore, but I figured I'd give it a go since I literally cannot find anything useful for the whole controller/minecraft/mac issue.
